Please make sure that you follow all these rules when posting in our forums. We have all rights to remove/edit/delete/move any threads if it doesn't belong in a certain forum or did not follow the forum rules.

How to read the rules

While at first this thread may seem large and daunting, don't be afraid! Most of the rules are simply common sense, so you shouldn't have many (if any) problems jumping right in to the community! If, after reading a section, you still don't understand the rule, or have questions about what exactly the rule means, then you should remember the following:

We reserve the right to modify, add to, or remove from the rules at any time. We reserve the right to make decisions in the interest of the security and stability of the site at any time regardless of what is or is not stated in the rules. It is the responsibility of the user to read, understand, and stay informed about the rules. User Safety

Harassment

Harassment is the act of directing verbal attacks towards other users, or deliberately posting in threads with the specific intent of provoking or irritating other users.

Continuing to post in threads where the original poster, or where those given specific and clear rights to do so by the original poster, has asked you to leave is harassment. Continuing to contact a user via PM or profile comments after being asked to stop by that user is harassment. Persistently following another user to various threads expressly to cause distress is harassment.

Flaming

Flaming is the act of verbally and directly attacking another user of the site. This includes posts that are abusive, derogatory, or excessively hateful towards another user of the site. This also includes posts that make derogatory or abusive remarks about a person's gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, sexuality, political or religious orientations, or social status.

Name Dropping

Name Dropping is an extension of the flaming rule, whereby users attempt to get around the flaming rule by simply omitting the name(s) of the persons they are flaming. This is still flaming and harassment, and is not tolerated on StrongFaith.

For instance, "that guy who's always talking about his brother is such an asshole" would fall under this rule, as it is clear who the person is talking derogatorily about.

Language

Swearing, cursing, and other forms of bad languages are allowed on StrongFaith, in moderation. However, directing swear words at other users may result in a flaming or harassment charge being issued.

Please also use common sense and caution when making racial, sexist, or sexuality based remarks or slurs. StrongFaith's userbase is made up of a wide variety of individuals of all makes and walks of life, and it's entirely possibly that such a remark could offend or distress another member of the site.

Trolling

Trolling is the act of posting material which is solely intended to outrage or annoy users who view it. Some forms of trolling include posting threads with pornographic or violent content. Any post which goes beyond an R rating level will result in an infraction being placed on the account, with additional punishments a possibility depending on the severity of the offense.

However, please keep in mind that arguments and debates are allowed on StrongFaith. Please ensure that you do not report someone for trolling who is just trying to make a point or speak their mind. If in doubt, please contact a member of the Moderation team with any questions you might have.

Report Abuse

Report abuse is the act of abusing the staff support system to attempt to incite disciplinary action(s) against another user without due reason. This can include, but is not limited to:

* repeatedly reporting the same user for the same post/topic after receiving notification that the post/topic has been handled. If a situation has not been handled to your satisfaction, please contact the member of staff who notified you directly, and they will be happy to explain further.
* intentionally lying or falsifying information about other users, such as falsifying PMs or posts, or editing screenshots to remove or add incriminating evidence.
* purposefully reporting things out of context to make them appear to be rule violations when they are not.
* using the reporting system to make 'reports' that have no meaning to them, such as filing a report and only putting "You lost the game" in the text entry box for it.

Forum Safety

Forum Specific Rules

The majority of forums have their own stickied rule threads. In the instance where a rule in these threads which disagrees with the site rules, the rule in the forum's specific rule thread takes the final authority.

Spamming

Spamming is the act of posting comments or material irrelevant to the discussion at hand, or posts which are made with the sole interest of earning Palladium.

Repeatedly posting 'bump's of any sort is spamming. Excessive posting of smilies or stretching text may be considered spam. Excessively using 'invisible' text (text colored to match or blend in with the post background) is spam, and a serious offense.

Another spam offense is repeatedly setting up 'permanent threads' and reserving posts for it with no intent of actually using them. This will be judged on a case-by-case basis. In cases where it's determined that a user is using 'permanent threads' to break the spamming rules, infractions may be given and the palladium gained from the thread(s) will be removed.

Threads made in any forum which exist for the sole intend of demanding or 'begging' for items are also against the spamming rules, as these types of threads are not made for conversational purposes.

Necroing

Necroing is the act of posting in a thread which has ceased being relevant or of interest. Generally, threads older than two (2) months since the last post should not be posted in.

An exception is made in the case of permanent threads (such as quests, charities, or shops), in which the original poster may revive their own topic at any time.

Another exception is made on a case-by-case basis. If a thread is still a relevant topic, but has not been posted in in more than two (2) months, please PM a member of the moderation team asking permission before posting in the thread.

Account Safety

Keep your password protected

The staff of StrongFaith will never ask for your password. If a user requests your password, or is pretending to be a member of StrongFaith's staff, please file a support ticket, or PM any online member of StrongFaith's moderation or human resources teams immediately.

A safe account is a secure account; never give out or post your password. Also, ensure your password is a strong password, including at least one number and one special symbol. Avoid easily guessed passwords like birthdays and names. Finally, try to avoid using the same password that you use on other websites; if one is compromised, then any account using that same password is compromised too.

Watch out for websites set up to look like StrongFaith to trick you into giving out your password! The URL StrongFaith will always start with either [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] or [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] If the URL for the website differs, then the website is not StrongFaith, and you should not enter your password on it! For optimal safety, never follow a link to StrongFaith, and always type the URL for the site into your browser manually.

Sharing your password is against the rules and could result in your account being suspended. All rules apply to your account at all times, regardless of who is actually operating the account. Also, please refer to the "Multiple Accounts" section for further limitations on sharing accounts.

Scamming

Be aware that there are individuals who aim to cheat or trick others out of their accounts or items. These can include tricks based on trust ("loan me this item and I'll give it back to you") or on tricking a user into believing they'll benefit in some way ("give me this item and I'll duplicate it and give you 10 back"). If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

If you suspect a user of scamming or attempting to scam yourself or others, please file a support ticket, or PM any online member of StrongFaith's moderation or human resources team.
